FIRST BEAR WITH BOW

May 1986

On his first bow hunting trip. Allison Hallihan (Owner of Crown Point Outfitters) shot this female black bear weighing about 225 pounds (102 kg). He shot the bear with a compound bow from a distance of about 32 yards (30 meters) in the Dungarvon area. He had the bear mounted and it stands proudly in the lodge.
